    Residents of Oologah, Oklahoma have benefited from Fluor’s presence on the American Electric Power/Public Service of Oklahoma (AEP/PSO) Northeastern Power Station Project led by Project Director Mike Holden in the Power business line.

    Today, Fluor Canada leadership visited Hull Services main campus for a full Day of Caring prior to the holiday season. As a part of their United Way of Calgary and Area campaign, Fluor employees made a decision to DO GOOD by investing in a corporate matching program and volunteering hundreds of man-hours and thousands of dollars to create a reinvigorated, positive space for vulnerable youth.

    Every year, teams of Fluor volunteers in various offices around the world take on the challenge of building massive structures entirely out of cans for CANstruction design and build competitions.  Cans used in these competitions benefit local food banks and provide the perfect opportunity for employees to demonstrate their talents while fulfilling Fluor's commitment to improving communities.

    Science laboratories at Ivory Park High School, located in the impoverished community of Tembisa, South Africa, were in despair and unfit for use. They needed an upgrade to ensure a safe, up-to-date and sustainable learning environment for teaching science.     For the past four years, Fluor’s Vancouver office has deepened its relationship with Lookout Emergency Aid Society, a charitable organization dedicated to addressing homelessness. The organization operates 27 sites, provides 1,100 beds a night and helps 20,000 individuals a year by assisting them as they transition out of homelessness.

    In May, the Henry Tyndale Special School in Farnborough opened its new sensory garden thanks, in part, to the voluntary support from a group of GAP members.

    The dedicated group embarked on a quest to conduct a small scale EPC project to create three outdoor acoustic panels to mitigate the sound produced by various musical instruments located around the new garden.
