Fluor’s Puerto Rico Office Recognized for Continual Safety Performance
Fluor has been recognized by the Puerto Rico Manufacturing Association (PRMA) for 21 straight years of Distinguished Safety Performance and eight straight years of receiving the OSHA Excellence in Safety Award, the only construction company recognized.
“At Fluor, health, safety and environmental stewardship is a core value and a key fundamental to our business,” said Danny Oppenheimer, operations manager of Fluor’s Life Sciences and Advanced Manufacturing business line in Puerto Rico. “These awards showcase our long-standing commitment to safety and how our Safer Together culture is leaving a lasting legacy in Puerto Rico.”
Safer Together is Fluor’s safety theme that embodies the company’s commitment to a caring, preventive safety culture across our global organization.
Fluor has executed projects for the pharmaceutical, biomedical and food and beverage industries in Puerto Rico for more than 50 years out of its San Juan office. Approximately 85 percent of the pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in Puerto Rico have been engineered, built or maintained by Fluor and it is the largest engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning and validation firm on the island.
