Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) announced today that one of its data center projects in India, one of its semiconductor projects in Malaysia and its Philippines and India offices were awarded nine overall 2025 health and safety awards by the Malaysian Industrial Safety and Health Association (MiSHA) in partnership with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Additionally, two Fluor employees were recognized individually for their work.
Fluor was presented its awards at the annual MiSHA awards banquet January 23 at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre, Putrajaya, Malaysia.
The two projects were for confidential clients.
MiSHA established strategic partnerships with nongovernmental organizations and professional safety organizations across ASEAN under the Asia Excellence Awards – OSH Principles of Prevention (PoP) program to honor top performing health and safety programs. Under this collaboration, each ASEAN country nominates companies demonstrating strong safety performance and PoP implementation.
“The health and safety of everyone on our projects is vitally important to our clients, coworkers, and their family members,” said Mark E. Funk, President of Fluor’s Advanced Technologies & Life Sciences business. “Every Fluor project globally – large and small – is expected to meet the highest standards for health and safety. I am extremely proud of our teams’ achievements and demonstrated commitment to our safety core value.”
“We are honored by this recognition, which is a testament to the power of teamwork at Fluor,” said Tricia Thibodeaux, Vice President of Fluor’s Global Health, Safety & Environmental and Quality. “Our success in health and safety is built on the collaboration, trust and shared commitment of every individual on our project teams. By working together, we create environments where safety is not just a goal, but a collective achievement.”
“We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to you and your dedicated employees for successfully achieving this prestigious award,” said Aziz Bin Basiran, MiSHA President, in announcing the awards. “We are confident that your esteemed organization will continue to uphold the highest standards of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards at your workplace.
