GREENVILLE, S.C. (May 11, 2026) – Four local nonprofit organizations are sharing $1 million thanks to another record-breaking year by Fluor’s Golf for Greenville charity tournament. Encompassing five Upstate golf courses with more than 500 players, this employee-driven effort partners with Fluor’s global suppliers to address critical needs and affect meaningful change in our community. Since its inception, Fluor’s Golf for Greenville tournament has donated more than $10 million to 52 organizations.
The 2026 beneficiaries include the new homeless shelter for The Salvation Army, a new bloodmobile for The Blood Connection, back-up generators for Feed & Seed in their work to empower local farmers while nourishing local families; and construction equipment for Rebuild Upstate to expand their work in affordable home preservation.
“For 36 years, Golf for Greenville has been a force for good that improves the lives of hundreds of thousands of our neighbors,” said Fluor’s Alisan Follingstad, who served as chairperson for this year’s tournament. “These nonprofit organizations are on the front lines of the most pressing needs in our community. The proceeds from this year’s tournament will help fund projects that will make a difference for years to come.”
What began in 1989 as a small, employee golf tournament has grown to cover five courses with a year-long effort that culminates in a three-day celebration. More than 100 Fluor volunteers contribute thousands of hours to organize and operate the tournament each year. This year’s courses were Thornblade Club, The Cliffs at Glassy, The Cliffs at Keowee Vineyards, The Carolina Country Club and Cross Creek Golf Club.
