Fluor Daniel Awarded Contract to Rebuild Aladdin Hotel & Casino

Fluor Daniel (NYSE:FLR) announced today that its ADP Marshall operating company has been awarded a contract by Aladdin Gaming, LLC, to design and build the base facilities for its new Aladdin Hotel & Casino, a 35-acre world-class resort, casino and entertainment complex located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Total installed cost of the base facilities exceeds $825 million; ADP Marshall's contract value is in excess of $250 million.

ADP Marshall operating company is providing architectural, engineering, procurement and construction services for the base facilities--the hotel and casino--at the complex. Work is being executed in its Phoenix, Arizona, office. Peak work force at the complex is expected to reach 1,500 workers.

"Our ADP Marshall design and construction staff has been an integral part in shaping and planning the new Aladdin Hotel & Casino," said Bob McNamara, president of ADP Marshall. "We are pleased to be a team member with the very talented Aladdin group in creating a truly world-class resort on this landmark site in Las Vegas."

The current Aladdin 17-story hotel tower will be imploded amid a display of fireworks at sunset, between 7:15 and 7:30 p.m., on Monday, April 27. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on a date to be announced, and the project is scheduled for completion in Spring 2000.

The Aladdin complex will include a 2,600-room luxury-themed hotel based on the Legends of the Arabian Nights; a 110,000-square foot casino and a 15,000-square foot European- style luxury gaming salon for wealthy clientele; a 1,400-seat production showroom; seven restaurants; the Desert Passage shopping mall, featuring 462,000-square-feet of retail space; and a second hotel and casino which will have a music-theme and include four restaurants, a performing arts theater and nightclub.

Aladdin Gaming, LLC, is owned by Aladdin Gaming Holdings, LLC, a Nevada limited-liability company, and by London Clubs International, a multinational casino operator. Aladdin Gaming Holdings will develop, construct and operate the Aladdin Hotel & Casino. London Clubs International will operate the high-end gaming facility at the Aladdin. The Desert Passage shopping mall will be developed by TrizecHahn Corporation.
