ICA Fluor Daniel Awarded Contract by BASF to Build Polymer Plant in Tamaulipas

ICA Fluor Daniel, the industrial engineering partnership of ICA (NYSE: ICA) and Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR), announced today that it has been awarded a contract by BASF Mexicana S.A. de C.V., to construct a new plant for BASF's trade-marked Styrolux polymer. The plant will be located in Altamira, Tamaulipas, Mexico and has a total investment cost of nearly US$53 million.

ICA Fluor Daniel's 21-month contract includes detail engineering, procurement services, construction, and assistance to commissioning and performance test.

Styrolux is the trademark for the BASF range of thermoplastic styrene-butadiene co-polymers, characterized by its combination of high transparency, brilliance and impact resistance. Styroloux can be extruded, thermoformed and injection molded into a variety of high-quality products for a variety of uses, particularly in the area of food packaging.
